The Challenge

Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework and Safari’s ITP have devastated client-side pixel accuracy for ad attribution. For a legal practice where every consultation matters, the firm needed a tracking infrastructure that survived browser restrictions and still fed clean conversion signals back to Meta’s optimization engine.

The Strategy

  • Dual-channel event delivery: Meta Pixel (browser-side) running in parallel with Conversions API (server-side) — both verified active.
  • Full-funnel event coverage: PageView, View Content, scroll_75, scroll_90, phone_click, and generate_lead — each event mapped to a meaningful funnel stage.
  • Event Match Quality optimization: hashed email, phone, IP, and user-agent passed via CAPI to maximize match rate.
  • 39 custom audiences built across event combinations — including high-value phone-click retargeting and lead-form lookalikes.
  • Diagnostics-driven iteration: active monitoring of Meta’s Diagnostics tab, addressing every “Update recommended” warning within 24 hours.

The Results

  • Both Pixel and CAPI verified active with green-tick status in Events Manager
  • 39 custom audiences live and used across retargeting funnels
  • 6.7+ / 10 event match quality on View Content events
  • Sub-24-hour event delivery for phone_click and generate_lead
  • Foundation laid for evergreen lead-gen campaigns with iOS-resilient attribution
